Enforce Manually Marking Text Messages as Read

Instead of auto marking a text message as read, could we instead have it so you had to manually mark it as read? With multiple teams and users accessing the same "inbox" for text messages could we have it so the user has to mark the text as read or actioned versus automatically doing this? This would allow better visibility if you read a text that didn't pertain to you.
