Multiple Notification Recipients for Service Appointments

Overview

Add the ability to include multiple contacts when sending service appointment confirmations and notifications. Similar to a "CC" function in email, this would allow service notifications to reach both primary contacts (like fleet managers) and secondary contacts (like vehicle drivers) simultaneously.

Use Cases

  • Fleet Management: Ensure both fleet managers and individual drivers receive appointment notifications, reducing no-shows

  • Shared Vehicles: Keep multiple family members informed about vehicle service

  • Business Vehicles: Notify both administrative staff who schedule service and employees who drive company vehicles

  • Preferred Communication: Allow customers to receive notifications via multiple methods (email + text) or at multiple addresses

Customer Impact

This feature would significantly reduce missed appointments, especially for fleet customers where communication between fleet management and drivers can be a challenge. It provides greater flexibility in how service information is communicated, ensuring the right people have the information they need.

Suggested Implementation

Add secondary contact fields (name, email, phone) to service appointments with options to enable/disable different types of notifications for each contact.
