A request has been made asking for a streamlined method to indicate that part pricing has been checked on work orders (W/O). To address this, we propose implementing a flag on the Work Order Parts Sales screen that can be marked as "Reviewed," which would then update a corresponding column on the W/O list. This simple visual indicator would allow users to quickly determine which tasks have been completed prior to posting completed invoices.
Specifically, we recommend two marking spots to enhance usability. Firstly, a "Reviewed" flag can be added to the Work Order Parts Sales screen to signify that the pricing has been verified. Secondly, a marker can be implemented on the Work Order list (W/O List) to indicate that the review process has been completed. A security check can be (optionally) implemented to prevent line items from being set to Reviewed status and/or work orders from being posted unless the Work Order Parts pricing has been reviewed. This would be controlled by User Security in the Quorum DMS Security module.
This feature will greatly assist in revenue management by ensuring accurate pricing and maximizing profitability through proper parts inventory management and correct line placement on work orders. Granting some control over the RO (Repair Order) to parts will enable efficient management of inventory, pricing accuracy, and overall quality assurance for the business.
