When adding a vehicle to a file we currently get a notification that the vehicle is on file under another customer. Could we also receive notification if the vehicle has an Open Appointment as well as a "WIP" ? This could really be helpful across the board for lots of dealerships. For example, we took a vehicle in on trade that had open recalls. We scheduled an appointment for this work to be done. We had to arrange a transport driver to bring the vehicle from one dealership to another Dealership (1.5 hours one way). The vehicle got purchased by a new customer who advised us that he was going to take the vehicle to a local dealership to have the work done. The Dealership sent the parts back, but no notification went to the other dealership to cancel the transport driver or documentation noted and the appointment for the recalls didn’t get cancelled
It’s just another way to increase communication so that the person who reschedules, or changes things flags us to go fix the original appointment or any other lingering paperwork on open RO’s (WIP).
