Overview:
Fetch currently allows emails and text messages to be sent before the start of the business day. However, when scheduling a text or email blast, users may inadvertently send messages outside of the time frames permitted by CASL regulations.
Proposed Solution:
To prevent unintended early sends, we propose implementing a confirmation prompt before finalizing a campaign. This prompt would ask users to confirm their send time, providing an opportunity to review and adjust the schedule if needed.
Additionally, for campaigns scheduled based on one time zone (e.g., 9:30 AM Atlantic Time), but targeting stores in another (e.g., Pacific Time), the system should automatically adjust the send time to align with the start of the business day in the recipient’s time zone. This will prevent messages from being sent too early (e.g., 5:30 AM Pacific Time).
Expected Benefit:
Ensures compliance with CASL regulations.
Reduces the risk of premature sends due to time zone differences.
Provides users with an extra safeguard to prevent scheduling mistakes.
